About Eric Maxwell:
I grew up in the great state of Arizona playing baseball nearly every day since I was 9 years old. I eventually earned an opportunity to play in college for a couple years before injuries cut my career short. Instead of continuing to try and grind it out and make something of my college career, I decided I wanted to focus on my academics and learn about the human body, get experience coaching, and eventually help other athletes reach their goals.
While earning my Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Exercise Science, I also focused on additional certifications in Personal Training and Corrective Exercise from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). Leveraging this educational background, I landed opportunities as a Personal Trainer in the university rec-center working with students, student athletes, the general population, and eventually working in the Sports Science department of a Major League Baseball team.
My work in the Sports Science department focused on helping high achieving athletes to continue to excel through both nutritional and exercise programs to help them gain strength and mobility while preventing injury, while leveraging science and research. Having witnessed and participated in these programs with athletes at this level has given me insight into motivations to excel that relate to the everyday athlete or individual interested in improving overall health and fitness. I am now here to help you!
